All ADA adult classes are designed to raise your fitness levels, build your confidence, and revamp your social life in a vibrant social atmosphere. There is no age limit, everyone from 20 to 90+ can dance

LINE DANCING

Wednesday 10.30am to 11.30am

These classes are based on ballroom and latin dancing with a line dancing twist. Its a popular class making physical activity fun!

GET OFF THE COUCH AND COME DANCING! No experience is necessary. Join Anita for beginner and Intermediate line dance classes. This is a fantastic way to get fit and learn to dance at the same time!

We offer Line Dance with a twist! If you always wanted to learn Waltz, Cha Cha, Rock and Roll or Rumba but you never had the right partner, this is your chance to join our extremely popular Line Dance Classes organised by Womens Centre and taught by Anita.

DANCING WITH THE STARS – Ballroom and Latin

Social Dancing for 50+

Beat hanging out in front of the TV almost every evening and improve your health and social life. Extremely friendly, family-like atmosphere. Singles or couples who would like to learn basic Waltz, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Tango, and much more. You don’t need to bring a dance partner or have any dance experience - just come along!

FUSION WORKOUT

ZUMBA STEP CLASS

Tuesdays  7.30 to 8.30pm

An uplifting cardio workout which burns fat, builds muscle and improves fitness. You will be stepping up, over and around an adjustable step - superb for your balance, agility and coordination.

If you are looking to add some serious fun to your exercise regime and love music don’t look further. Our experienced instructors are amazing!

This year we are celebrating our 14th anniversary! Our first Zumba classes opened in May 2010 and we had five Zumba classes per week with 50 participants in each class plus a waiting list.


TOTAL BARRE CLASSES

Tuesdays 6.30 to 7.30pm

Thursdays 10.30am to 11.30am.

These classes are ballet inspired with a focus on strength, flexibility, stamina and core stability. They are a great way to sculpt and tone your muscles. Everyone is welcome and no prior dance experience is necessary.

Barre fitness is ideal if you're just getting into exercise or you need to add some intensity, freshness and novelty to your weekly gym routine. The classes will improve your balance, build strength, make you more flexible, burn calories, and improve stability through a stronger core. As you get more comfortable and fit, we will ramp up the intensity by adding weights.

BELLY DANCING

Mondays 7.30 to 8.30pm

This class is a fun low impact dance exercise suitable for all fitness levels, shapes and sizes. This is a wonderful way to improve your balance and maintain joint function. These classes are held at Anitas Dance Academy in King Street and run by Charmaine Seccombe.

Belly dancing offers a great form of aerobic exercise, with natural endorphins entering the body and boosting the mind, to give the dancer an exercise high. Belly dancing is great for blowing away mental cobwebs, whilst giving its dancers a happier outlook on life.

YOGA - For better health and Energy

A great way to improve your health and energy which focuses on flexibility, balance, strength, breathing, relaxation, and meditation. Classes are for six weeks from the week beginning  the 17th July & 21st July. Facilitated by Jannine Sarney and held at Anita’s Dance Academy.

PILATES

Wednesdays 7.30 to 8.15pm

Fridays 9.00 to 9.45am and 10.00am to 10.45am

In these classes we will work through a whole body flow to leave you feeling centred, aligned and strong. Some options will be given to modify positions and you are welcome to select what is right for you.

Pilates is a fantastic way to move the body in different directions to help you perform at your best whether it be in the gym, on the sports field, or to help you do your everyday tasks with ease.
